You can be so close to somewhere and never enter there, you may not be far from a house and never enter in. There is difference between too close and being able to enter. The same is applicable to the kingdom of God. Your knowledge of God and your service unto God are wonderful, they make you close to the kingdom of God. You are now committed to things of God, you read your Bible and pray, you are devoted in your church and working for God, you pay your tithes and go through Bible class; now you know a lot about the things of God, you know your Bible more better and you pray more and preach better. But without practicing what you know, without holiness of life and righteousness of living, being clearly obvious in your life, you cannot enter the kingdom of God.

You felt, “But God why?” You wanted to write an exam, you prayed before registering and paying the huge amount, and you felt God was leading you to go ahead, then you did register and prepared day and night, prayed for God’s help for the professional or promotional exam. You were confident in the Lord for the success and looking ahead for the blessings, progress and promotion the success will yield for you, and you were even reciting how you would share the testimony for God’s glory. But alas, the result was a total failure, so painful as you looked back at the wasted effort, money and resources gone just like that? And you heard about unbelievers who made it in the exam, you felt like, “But God why? Why?”...

The biggest controversy in the world of religion is the name Jesus Christ. The Buddhist, Hindu, Islam, and other religious groups do not have much problem with themselves than they do with Christianity. There is an open battle against the most relevant body in the world of faiths - Christianity. It is Islam against Christianity, Buddhism against Christianity, Hinduism against Christianity and in fact all religious groups against the Christian faith. The question is: Why is it that way? Do People go to Heaven when they die? Nearly every funeral sermon that is preached today claims that the “deceased” is now up in heaven. The notion is based on 2,000 years of tradition. But how accurate is that tradition? The word soul is derived from the Hebrew nephesh. Here is how nephesh is defined in the Bible by usage: “self, life, creature, person, appetite, mind, heart, body, living being, desire, emotion, passion, the breathing creature, the inner, living being of man (with life in the blood), seat of the appetite, seat of emotions and passions, activity of the will, activity of the character.” These are all synonyms for the biblical concept of soul.
